The most up to date versions of handbill and posters have been submitted (not the ones above). We thank you all for your suggestions. At this point we feel the poster will become crowded with any more info added. Will meet you tomorrow with first printing for posting around town.
If there are updates on content we can adjust the final version for April 5th printing.

Remember: EARTH HOUR

On SATURDAY, MARCH 29, 2008 at 8 p.m., join millions of people around the world in making a statement about climate change by turning off your lights for Earth Hour, an event created by the World Wildlife Fund.
(Our prof in atmospheric environment suggested using LED lights or crank-radio, crank-flashlight if needed, rather than, for example, candles).

Wouldn't it be better to display the web address http://earthdaynanaimo.wordpress.com on the poster rather than the email address? Anyone who might email you could probably find their answer on the website.

Hi from my farm in Yellowpoint,
I am attempting to communicate with the organizers as I have not recieved a reply.
Cedar Valley Poultry Farm will be in attendance, I need to know when to set up. Where you intend to put my business and if I can have a choice of location, is there a map made up yet? I will be receiving a VIHA approval this week. Does someone need to read this approval, or do you need a copy?
If so who is that contact person, will they be in attendance on Earth Day Nanaimo.
A responce is necessary for my compliance with your rules, to enable my business to participate.

Cheers,
Betty Benson

Jim just wondering if you could let me know of the exact preffered location and size of the stage so I know where I can't set up tables! Also do we know of the electrical locations and if there are more than one we can access?

The Nanaimo Community Band participated in Earth Day activities last year at Maffeo Sutton. We would like to do so again if possible. Despite the rain, people enjoyed the music.
You should contact our director, Ted Dawe at 722-3088 or endawe@shaw.ca to make arrangements if you would like us again. We have 2 bands, concert and stage (dance type music), around 35 in stage band and around 23 in stage band.

Great work. I am amazed it was straightforward.
We should let the RCMP know that there will be a gathering, so they have it in mind as they plan their Saturday evening.
We could frame it as an invitation to off-duty officers and their families.
