Lorelei,
could you please let me know of your schedule for the final poster to be printed? if we have any late additions can we add to the last poster we copy ( i am thinking if I can confirm an opening ceremony) ?
Could we also add the Habour Front Plaza location and times? As is there will be confusion re. the films since they will not be shown at Bowen Park.
Also please add carbon footprint calculations and easy actions.
Lorelei, could we talk about sending a letter to businesses in the downtown core? They would be interested in the evening film showing event and we could get some sponsorship (doorprizes) from them. Let me know when you have a bit of free time (10 min).
Another thought is to publish the names of the films:
The 11th Hour and The Man Who Planted Trees.
The times for the Harbour Front Plaza would be 7pm to 9pm.
Shouldn’t we have space for the sponsors on the poster?
What about mention of what local actions have taken place?
ie. Green buildings, businesses that have environmentally conscious policies (Mermaid’s Mug, The Green Store) etc.

I love the way the posters are formulating! A couple comments:
1- may I suggest a border or something to frame the information, perhaps with a small drop shadow - perhaps the earth can overlap the border a bit (overtop?)
2 - I think the signs on the hand bill are incomplete peace signs (they look more like mercedes signs) Is it possible to find one with the extra line? I love how handwritten they are!
3 - to break up the text a bit, maybe we could have some basic information in verdana?

Postering schedule:
First posters up by March 29
Final posters up by April 12
If we keep meeting Saturdays, and everyone can help put up some by choosing a few places each, we should distribute them the Saturday before postering deadline. That means printing 1st round before March 22, 2nd round before April 5. If I have a crew to meet with and put up posters, we could have a couple days more time before changes deadline.
Wouldn’t it be better to display the web address http://earthdaynanaimo.wordpress.com on the poster rather than the email address? Anyone who might email you could probably find their answer on the website.
The most up to date versions of handbill and posters have been submitted (not the ones above). We thank you all for your suggestions. At this point we feel the poster will become crowded with any more info added. Will meet you tomorrow with first printing for posting around town.
If there are updates on content we can adjust the final version for April 5th printing.
